Bakugan Starter Packs
Bakugan Starter Packs contain 3 Bakugan marbles, 3 gate cards and 3 ability cards. They retail between $10-14. The assortment is usually random with one marble being closed and a mystery as to its type. Of the two Bakugan that are open/transformed usually just one will have its G power revealed. All these are necessary to get you started with your first Bakugan battle with other players, so this is surely the first set to buy when you have just joined.
Starter packs have been the introductory packs of each series. This was so with the original Bakugan series 1 and 2, and so it goes on with the succeeding series. The Bakugan balls in the packs used to be 28mm in diameter. But starting with the BakuPearl series, the balls became bigger, sized up to 32mm in diameter. This was the start of the B2 series, B2
Bakugan Booster Packs
Bakugan booster packs retail for $5.00-$6.00. The Bakugan Booster Packs contain one bakugan marble and one metal gate card an one ability card. The bakugan is open/transformed so you will know which bakugan you are getting but the g power is usually not revealed. Bakugan booster packs have been available for all of the series so far. This included the original 29mm sized series 1 and series 2, the bakupearl series, the bakuclear series and the new bakuswap series. |  |
Bakugan Character Packs Bakugan character packs include one bakugan marble, a collectible 2" figure and one metal gate card. These retail for about $6.99 There are also NEW character packs available exclusively at Target. These packs include a large collectible figure as well as a bakugan marble and one metal gate card. So far there are 6 total. These retail for $9.99. Target now has exclusive character packs of Bakuneon bakugan types. Percival, brontes, Cosmic Ingram and Neo Dragonoid. |  |
Bakugan Special Attack Booster Packs There have been some "special attack" booster packs released. These seem to retail for about $7.99.These bakugan are special since they have something special like this dragonoid has something called heavy metal. |  |
Bakugan Traps
Bakugan Traps are a newer special attack booster being released. They come in many different shapes but are not round like regular Bakugan. When placed on a metal Gate card they will open up revealing either a different Attribute symbol/s or a G-Power.
In a normal game you play with 3 Bakugan plus 1 Trap bakugan. If using the "Big Game" rules then you are allowed 2 bakugan traps. To play a Bakugan Trap it must be the same attribute as the Bakugan in the battle you want to use it with. Next you just lay it down on the gate card and when it opens, determine what is revealed. If it is an Attribute symbol, then your Bakugans Attribute is changed to the Attribute that is revealed. If more than one Attribute symbol is revealed, choose one to become. If a G-Power is revealed, then your Bakugan gains that amount of G-Power. After the battle the Bakugan Trap goes to the used pile. When you are out of bakugan to use and take all of those in your used pile and move them to your unused pile, you may also move your trap bakugan as well.
